Avocado Turkey Lettuce Burgers

 

When I starting eating clean one of the first things I started making was turkey burgers, because duh, any type of turkey is healthy, right?! Of course back then they were made with bread crumbs, ketchup, put on a whole wheat bun with mayo, and honey mustard. When searching for an actual healthy turkey burger they were all so bland, boring and almost tasteless. So after years and years of making turkey burgers I have finally come up with a flavorful, savory, carb-free turkey burger! I hope you love these as much as I do!

Avocado Turkey Lettuce Burgers

These Avocado Turkey Lettuce Burgers are full of flavor and is the perfect carb-free meal!

Ingredients

For The Burgers

  • 1 lb Ground turkey (lean)
  • 1 Diced avocado
  • 1/4 cup Organic Almond flour
  • 2 tbsp Spicy mustard
  • 1 tsp Garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Onion powder
  • 1 tsp Pink himalayan salt
  • 1/4 tsp Ground black pepper
  • 2 tbsp Ghee or Coconut oil

For The Garnish

  • 1 package Organic butter lettuce
  • 1 tbsp Diced red onions
  • 1 Sliced jalapeno
  • 1/4 cup Diced bell peppers (your choice of color)
  • 1 tsbp Sweet relish
  • 1/4 cup Pico de gaco

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl add in all ingredients expect ghee for the burgers.

  2. Add ghee or coconut oil to a large skillet over medium heat.

  3. While skillet is heating start to form palm sized patties.

  4. Add patties to skillet, do not over crowed your pan.

  5. Cook for about 5 minutes on each side, or till browned or crispy.

  6. Once all patties are cooked add to butter lettuce and garnish as you wish.
